Driving simulator with an authentic feel

Driving School 2017 brings a lot of fresh things to the table when it comes to being a driving and racing simulator, thanks to its various vehicles to unlock, maps and routes to explore, and game modes to try. The free-to-play game also comes with detailed 3D graphics that are realistic.

In Driving School 2017, you can choose between single-player career, free ride, or online multiplayer modes. There are also different maps to drive in, ensuring that things won’t get old right away. For other driving simulators, you may want to check out Driving School 2016 or Real Driving School.

With intuitive driving controls

Not unlike other games in the same genre, Driving School 2017 also features clear and easy-to-understand controls. The essential icons are all displayed on the screen, like the accelerator, brake, and steering wheel, among others. As you drive, you’ll also see the speedometer and tiny GPS map on the bottom of the screen. These controls are intuitive and highly responsive, ensuring smooth driving.

There is also a plethora of vehicles to choose from, although most of these are not usable right off the bat — you’ll have to unlock them using coins, which can be earned from leveling up and finishing challenges. Although, the grinding may tend to become repetitive or tedious, as there’s little yield and some of the objectives are difficult to achieve.

Its career mode comprises various levels to complete, though the higher levels can get impossible to beat because of ridiculous level requirements. Moreover, the game has a free ride and an online multiplayer mode. At the same time, some drawbacks lie in the game’s AI, especially in the cars and pedestrians present, which are either too slow or get too much in the way of the player.

Great game despite its drawbacks

All in all, Driving School 2017 is a decent vehicle-driving simulator. While it has its performance issues and nearly impossible level requirements that may prompt a rage quit, it also has numerous game modes and maps to explore. The varied locations ensure new roads and stuff to see, while the game modes allow you to climb up the levels in career mode, race against other players in multiplayer, and more.
